Najtrudniej maluje się czerwone róże, których welwetowe płatki nie odbijają zbyt mocno światła, a cienie w głębi kwiatów wydają się wręcz granatowe albo czarne. Za to przy różowych (róża Louise Odier) mogę się zrelaksować używając jedynie różnych odcieni różu i fioletu. Potem nadchodzi kolej na złoto-pomarańczową Westerland. W tym roku jest szczególnie piękna, bo nie zmarzła zimą. Wprost nie mogę się nią nacieszyć.
The most difficult are red roses. Their velvety petals reflect light rather weakly and the shadows inside flowers seem very dark blue or almost black. After struggling with red I turn to pink roses (rose Louise Odier) - so relaxing. I use different hues of permanent rose and violet. Then time comes for salmon colored rose Westerland. It is so beautiful this year because for the first time it hasn't frozen during winter. I see it every morning from the kitchen window and my heart fills with joy.
