Obrusik ze skrawków. Small tablecloth from scraps.

 

Postanowiłam opróżnić moje pudełko ze ścinkami i uszyłam taki oto niezobowiązujący obrusik, idealny na mały stolik ogrodowy.

I decided to empty my scrap box and I made this small patchwork tablecloth. The size is ideal for a small garden table.

Carissa macrocarpa.

 

Codziennie wieczorem mijaliśmy żywopłot, w którym bieliły się takie oto silnie pachnące kwiatki  (zapach trochę jak konwalia, trochę jak jaśmin, trochę jak plumeria) i czerwieniły się takie owoce. Zastanawialiśmy się, co to za roślina, aż w końcu internet podpowiedział, że to Carissa macrocarpa. Po polsku śliwka Natal. Jadalna, ale nikt nie odważył się jej spróbować. (Data w dolnym rogu błędnie zapisana. Powinno być 5.X.)

Every evening we walked along a hedgerow with these white sweetly smelling flowers (mix of lilly of the valley, jasminum and plumeria) and red fruits. We wondered what it was. Finally we found the answer in internet. The plant's name is Carissa macrocarpa and its fruit is edible. No one was brave enough to try it. (The date in lower left corner is not correct. It should be 5.X)

Malta - wyspa św Pawła. Malta - St Paul's island.

 

Według tradycji to właśnie u brzegów tej maleńkiej wysepki (na górze strony) rozbił się statek św Pawła.

It is believed that this small island (above) is the place where St Paul was shipwrecked.

Znowu Malta. Malta again.

 

Znów na Malcie. Do obiadu praca, a po południu takie widoki.

We visited Malta again. We worked until lunch and in the afternoons we explored this beautiful island.
