Dzika wiśnia. Wild cherry.

Malowałam ten obrazek zaczynając od tła. Zazwyczaj tło zostawiam na koniec, ale przy białych kwiatach taka kolejność wydaje mi się lepsza.

I started this picture from painting background. Usually I prefer to work on flowers first but when they are white starting from background seems safer.

Szafirki. Grape hyacinths.

Do malowania szafirków trzeba cierpliwości. Każdy kuleczkowy kwiatek ma swoją strefę światła i cienia, więc trzeba mu poświęcić trochę uwagi.

One has to be patient while painting a grape hyacinth. Each of the tiny blue balls has the area of shadow and light. Each requires attention and meticulosity.

Bratki. Pansies.

Barwy hiacyntów. Colors of hyacinths.

Moje urodziny wypadają w styczniu i dostaję wtedy od męża kwitnące hiacynty w doniczkach. To sprawia, że łatwiej mi jest czekać na wiosnę. Potem cebulki zakopuję w rozmaitych kątach ogrodu. Przez lata nazbierało się ich sporo i teraz mam kolekcję hiacyntów w różnych odcieniach różu i fioletu.

My birthday are in January and I always got from my husband a pot of blooming hyacinths. I love it! The flowers help me to wait for spring. When the hyacinths wilt I put the bulbs in the garden. After a long chain of passing birthdays I gathered quite a big collection of hyacinths in wide range of colors: from white to pink purple blue and violet.

Żeby nie marnować resztek farb pozostałych po zdobieniu wydmuszek namalowałam w szkicowniku bukiet letnich kwiatów.
When I had finished painting eggs I had some acrylic paint still on my palette. I didn't want to throw it out so I painted in my sketchbook this small flower composition.
