Wiele lat temu byłam w słynnym ogrodzie Moneta w Giverny. Tłumy okropne, ale udało mi się zrobić kilka zdjęć lilii wodnych - zapewne następczyń tych, które malował mistrz. I nawet przytłaczająca ilość turystów nie zepsuła tego niezwykłego wrażenia, że oto stoję jakby we wnętrzu obrazu, bo przecież te widoki znam z płócien Moneta.
Many years ago, I visited Monet's famous garden in Giverny. The crowds were terrible, but I managed to snap a few photos of the water lilies—probably descendants of those painted by the master. And even the overwhelming number of tourists didn't spoil the extraordinary feeling of standing inside a painting, because I know these views from Monet's paintings.
