Hortensje - zwłaszcza te niebieskie - to florystyczny symbol Bretanii. Nigdzie nie widziałam tylu odmian. Łagodny klimat i obfite deszcze sprawiają, że te krzewy kwitną wyjątkowo obficie. 

Hydrangeas - especially the blue ones - are a floristic symbol of Brittany. I've never seen so many varietes. The mild climate and heavy rains make these shrubs bloom abundantly.

Niebieski hibiskus. The blue hibiscus.

 

Oto nowy nabytek do ogrodu. Kiedyś mieliśmy takiego hibiskusa, ale zmarzł którejś zimy. W tym roku, po tym jak napatrzyłam się na różne hibiskusy w Bretanii, znów zapragnęłam posadzić jednego u siebie. A te błękitne lubię najbardziej.

Here is the new purchase for our garden. We had the blue hibiscus some time ago but it frozen during one severe winter. This year after seeing many beautiful hibiscuses in Brittany I decided to try again and plant the blue one in the garden.
