Morze i skały z innej strony. Sea and rocks from the other side.

 

Morze, skały i bananowiec. Sea, rocks and a banana tree.

 

Bugenwilla na podłodze tarasu. Bougainvillea on the terrace floor.

 

Czekając na sałatkę. Waiting for the salad.

 

Malowałam ten widoczek siedząc na tarasie restauracji i czekając na zamówioną sałatkę. Nad głową miałam dojrzewające figi. Jedynym minusem były szerszenie krążące nad stołami. 

 I painted this view while sitting on the terrace of a restaurant and waiting for the salad.. I had ripening figs above my head. But I couldn't completely relax because of the hornets circling over the tables.

Kiedy leżałam na leżaku, na naszym tarasie, to po lewej stronie widziałam góry, a na wprost przysłonięte bugenwillami morze.

When I was lying on a deckchair on our terrace, I could see the mountains on the left and the bougainvillea in front of me with the sea as a background.

Na Rodos bugenwille triumfowały. Pięły się po murach, wdrapywały na palmy i wciskały w wąskie uliczki, stanowiąc mocniejszy akcent kolorystyczny niż pstrokate stoiska z pamiątkami. Nie miałam odpowiedniego odcienia różu, żeby oddać ich barwę.
 In Rhodes, the bougainvilleas triumphed. They climbed the walls, climbed the palm trees and squeezed into the narrow streets, creating a stronger color accent than the colorful souvenir stands. I didn't have the most intense pink paint in my watercolor kit so I couldn't capture their color.
